GAP is a community of people who strive for a better quality of life for people on the autism spectrum and their families. We actively seek to create working partnerships with the wider community to help reduce social isolation and create long term benefits for our members. We also aim to educate our community showing how difference is something to be embraced and the value of creating a better society for all to live in.
GAP has developed a school presentation titled ‘Autism: What is Unique is Wonderful’ which is delivered on request to schools (primary and secondary) in Galway City and County. The aim of this presentation is to educate children and teenagers about autism and the ways that they can help those around them who are different.
